The carbon-in-leach plant processes traditional gold-mining residue with a design capacity of 1,500 tons per day and gold recovery above 95 percent.
Project Overview
Abo Rugia Mining entered traditional mining residue treatment in 2012 and became an early Sudanese participant in the field, qualifying for work around Wad Bushara, Shawir, and Al-Khayari.
- CIL processing technology
- Gold recovery exceeding 95 percent
- First experimental production on 19 September 2014
Supporting Infrastructure
Substantial site infrastructure supports the processing plant and its workforce.
- 4 MW electrical generation facility
- Approximately 70 km water-transfer system
- Laboratory, stores, workshop, clinic, fuel station, accommodation, dining, and mosque
